ZOOM❤️RFÆ is a collection of fairy tales and photographs dedicated to a fantastic and imaginary “metafauna” and “ultrafauna,” as fragile as they are wondrous.
The fairy tales of ZOOM❤️RFÆ are potentially suitable for all “children,” from 0 to 9999999999 years old, in other words, dreamers of all ages. These are stories dedicated to new “fragilities,” to the fantastic creatures that inhabit them, or even just to their possible traces.
Each of these protagonists, with the first photograph, is ideally taken care of, with “their” (visible and/or invisible) fragilities in the real place where they were encountered, and then returns, once “healed” (at least in part), even more free to live their life.
This partial or complete “healing,” this rebirth, is ideally documented by a second image (elaborated then in post-production).
Thus, each pair of images “summarizes” one or more imaginary stories dedicated to the fantastic subject portrayed and their “fragilities.”
The length of these short fables is approximately 200 words max.
I have informally suggested this project to families and schools for some time now, to stimulate a general, greater sensitivity towards the most “fragile” and, last but not least, an increasingly broad ecological and environmental awareness (not only) in new generations.
It is an idea, so to speak, “locally sourced,” because imagination is a “treasure” that always travels with us.
Similarly, these images and stories, in fact, are born “along the way.”
If you like this project, please feel free to share it informally as much as possible.
Yes, informally, because I still believe in a traditional, sincere, and evergreen… word of mouth.

ZOOMORFÆ è una raccolta di favole e di fotografie dedica1te a una “metafauna” e a una “ultrafauna” fantastica e immaginaria, quanto fragile.
Le favole di ZOOMORFÆ sono potenzialmente adatte a tutti i “bambini”, da 0 a 9999999999 anni, ovvero ai sognatori di ogni età. Si tratta di storie ogni volta dedicate a nuove “fragilità”, alle creature fantastiche che vi convivono o anche soltanto alle loro eventuali tracce.
Ognuno di questi protagonisti, con la prima fotografia viene idealmente accolto preso in cura, con le “sue” fragilità (visibili e/o invisibili) nel luogo reale nel quale è stato incontrato, per poi tornare, una volta “guarito” (almeno in parte), ancor più libero alla sua vita.
Questa parziale o completa “guarigione”, questa rinascita, è idealmente documentata da una seconda immagine (elaborata poi in postproduzione).
Ogni coppia di immagini “riassume”, quindi, una o più storie immaginarie dedicate al (s)oggetto fantastico di volta in volta ritratto e alle “sue” fragilità.
La lunghezza di queste brevi favole è di circa 200 parole max.
È un progetto che, informalmente, sto suggerendo da tempo anche a famiglie e/o alle scuole, per stimolare una generale, maggiore, sensibilità verso i più “fragili” e, non ultima, una sempre più ampia coscienza ecologica e ambientale (non solo) nelle nuove generazioni.
Un’idea, per così dire, a “km. 0”, perché la fantasia è un “tesoro” che viaggia sempre in/con noi.
Analogamente, queste immagini e queste storie, di fatto, nascono “strada… facendo”.
Nel caso vi piacesse questo progetto, vi prego, quindi, di diffonderlo liberamente (informalmente, intendo) quanto più vi sarà possibile.
Si, informalmente, perché credo ancora molto anche in un tradizionale, quanto sincero e sempreverde… passaparola.

Mother Nature. The “invisible” soul of the world
Once upon a time, there was a being without name. She had the gift of ubiquity, making her invisible except for her heart, which unfortunately suffered from Bradycardia, a medical condition that made it beat slower than usual. Despite her illness she saw this as an opportunity rather than a problem. She believed that her condition could help her teach others about the beauty of diversity and inclusion.
And so, she traveled the world. She showed people that just because someone has a disability or is different from others, it doesn’t mean they should be treated any differently.
Through her travels, she inspired others to embrace their differences and celebrate them. She showed them that each person’s unique qualities made the world a more interesting and diverse place. And with every step she took, her heart beat slower and slower, until one day it stopped altogether.
But even though he’s gone, her soul and his message continue to spread. Her legacy has lived on and is all around us and now she also has a beautiful name:… Mother Nature.

Madre Natura. L’anima “invisibile” del Mondo
C’era una volta un essere senza nome. Aveva il dono dell’ubiquità, rendendola invisibile tranne che per il suo cuore, che purtroppo soffriva di bradicardia, una condizione medica che lo faceva battere più lentamente del solito. Nonostante la sua malattia, ha visto questa come un’opportunità piuttosto che un problema. Credeva che la sua condizione potesse aiutarla a insegnare agli altri la bellezza della diversità e dell’inclusione.
Ha viaggiato per il mondo e ha mostrato alla gente che solo perché qualcuno ha una disabilità o è diverso dagli altri, non significa che debba essere trattato in modo diverso.
Attraverso i suoi viaggi, ha ispirato gli altri ad abbracciare le loro differenze e celebrarle. Ha mostrato loro che le qualità uniche di ogni persona rendono il mondo un luogo più interessante e diversificato. E ad ogni passo che faceva, il suo cuore batteva sempre più lentamente, finché un giorno si fermò del tutto.
Ma anche se non c’è più, la sua anima e il suo messaggio continuano a diffondersi. La sua eredità è sopravvissuta ed è tutta intorno a noi e ora ha anche un nome bellissimo:… Madre Natura.

Fearyn, la corteccia dormigliona
C’era una volta Fearyn, una corteccia sonnacchiosa che amava appisolarsi spesso facendo, di solito, sogni bellissimi. Un giorno fece invece un sogno terribile. Un sogno vivido, forse scatenato dalla triste notizia dell’aggravamento della salute di una sua amica causato da una brutta malattia che l’aveva recentemente colpita. Sognò, infatti, di trovarsi di notte in un ospedale buio dove sarebbe stata diagnosticata anche a lei un’analoga, tremenda malattia. Una patologia che, a partire dalla sua testa, avrebbe via via creato problemi a tutto il resto del corpo. Ogni speranza sembrò spegnersi di colpo, trasformando quel sonno in un vero e proprio incubo. L’angoscia crescente che quel sogno drammatico gli aveva scatenato, l’aveva fatta piangere e soffrire. Lacrime amare che gli rigavano ancora il viso anche quando, di soprassalto, finalmente si svegliò. Tremava e singhiozzata così tanto da scuotere pure Papà albero che la carezzò a lungo con i suoi rami carichi di belle foglie verdi per tranquillizzarla. Mentre la accarezzava, le raccontava intanto anche una fiaba meravigliosa che parlava di un giovane e brillante scienziato che aveva appena scoperto una cura miracolosa proprio per quella patologia. Un farmaco che, resistendo alle offerte “interessate” di grandi case farmaceutiche, aveva invece deciso di mettere a disposizione di chiunque ne avesse bisogno non appena completate le verifiche e i controlli necessari a verificarne la qualità e l’efficacia…

Fearyn, the Sleepy Bark
Once upon a time, there was Fearyn, a drowsy bark who loved to doze off frequently, often having beautiful dreams. But one day, she had a terrible dream. It was a vivid dream, perhaps triggered by the sad news of her friend’s deteriorating health caused by a serious illness that had recently struck her. In her dream, she found herself in a dark hospital at night, where she too was diagnosed with a similar, dreadful illness. A condition that would gradually create problems throughout her entire body, starting from her head. All hope seemed to vanish suddenly, turning that sleep into a real nightmare. The growing anguish triggered by that dramatic dream made her cry and suffer. Bitter tears still streamed down her face even when she abruptly woke up. She trembled and sobbed so much that it shook Papa Tree, who caressed her with his branches adorned with beautiful green leaves to comfort her. While he stroked her, he also told her a wonderful fairy tale about a young and brilliant scientist who had just discovered a miraculous cure for that illness. A medication that, despite the “interested” offers from big pharmaceutical companies, he had decided to make available to anyone in need as soon as the necessary verifications and tests were completed to ensure its quality and effectiveness…

Atlas, the special tree
Once upon a time, in a lush forest, there was a special tree named Atlas. Unlike other trees, Atlas was a cyclops with a passion for photography. He loved capturing the beauty of nature in his photographs and sharing them with others.
One day, Atlas noticed that the other trees in the forest were starting to exclude him from their social gatherings. They were afraid of his unique appearance and didn’t know how to include him in their activities. This made Atlas feel sad and lonely.
One night, a group of animals came to visit Atlas. They were amazed by his stunning photographs and wanted to learn more about photography…
Atlas was overjoyed to share his knowledge and teach them how to take great pictures.
As time passed, Atlas became the official photographer of the forest. He captured the changing seasons and the unique personalities of the forest creatures. The other trees saw how much Atlas had to offer and started to include him in their gatherings once again.
Through Atlas, the animals and trees of the forest learned that inclusion and diversity are essential for a happy and thriving community. Despite his differences, Atlas had valuable talents to share with the world, and everyone benefited from his passion for photography…..

Atlante, l’albero speciale
C’era una volta, in una foresta lussureggiante, un albero speciale chiamato Atlante. A differenza di altri alberi, Atlante era un ciclope con la passione per la fotografia. Amava catturare la bellezza della natura nelle sue fotografie e condividerle con gli altri.
Un giorno, Atlas notò che gli altri alberi della foresta stavano iniziando a escluderlo dai loro incontri sociali. Avevano paura del suo aspetto unico e non sapevano come includerlo nelle loro attività. Questo ha fatto sentire Atlas triste e solo.
Una notte, un gruppo di animali andò a visitare Atlas. Rimasero stupiti dalle sue splendide fotografie e vollero saperne di più sulla fotografia…
Atlas fu felicissimo di condividere le sue conoscenze e di insegnare loro come scattare foto fantastiche.
Col passare del tempo, Atlas è quindi divenuto il fotografo ufficiale della foresta. Ha catturato il mutare delle stagioni e le personalità uniche delle creature della foresta. Gli altri alberi hanno visto quanto Atlante aveva da offrire e hanno iniziato a includerlo nelle loro riunioni.
Attraverso Atlas, gli animali e gli alberi della foresta hanno imparato che l’inclusione e la diversità sono essenziali per una comunità felice e fiorente. Nonostante le sue differenze, Atlas aveva talenti preziosi da condividere con il mondo e, così, tutti hanno beneficiato della sua passione per la fotografia…
